Crafting a Multilingual Identity

The Bilingual Logo

To embrace the park's diverse community, I faced the challenge of designing a bilingual logo in both English and Marathi. Navigating font weights, set widths, and the complexities of subscripts and superscripts, I crafted a logo that seamlessly merged both languages.

The logo's dimensions served as a reference point, a testament to its visual harmony.

Giving Shape to Concepts

Signage Idea Sketches

Concept One

What immediately caught my attention was a leaf-shaped signage, inspired by the park's logo, symbolizing its connection to nature. I envisioned an arrow placed at the bottom, effectively conveying directions to visitors.

Concept Two

Another idea I explored involved a leaf protruding from the signage, visually guiding people toward their intended destinations. This concept aimed to blend the organic essence of the park with a practical design.

Concept Three

Ultimately, I settled on a design that featured a basic square or rectangle shape, within which I incorporated a bent leaf to represent direction. I carefully layered the leaf slightly behind the icon, adding depth and visual interest to the signage.

A Directional Twist

The Creative Arrow

To further enhance the chosen design, I decided to introduce a creative arrow. Nestled within the midriff of the bent leaf, the arrow provided a clear visual cue, guiding visitors along the desired path. This addition not only improved the functionality of the signage but also added a touch of elegance and playfulness.

A User-centric Approach

Signages at Eye Level

Taking into account the park's diverse visitors, I carefully determined the proportions and heights at which the signages should be placed. By ensuring eye-level positioning, I aimed to create an inclusive environment where people of all ages could easily navigate the park's offerings.

Inspiring Materials That Illuminate Foliage Park

Materials for Signage

Blending Functionality and Beauty

To infuse a sense of natural beauty, I opted for a textured white wood finish using an ACP sheet as the background material for the signage. This choice evoked a harmonious connection with the park's surroundings, setting the stage for an immersive experience.

Meticulous Craftsmanship

Capturing attention and igniting curiosity, the letters and icons were meticulously crafted from black and green acrylic sheets. This combination created a striking visual contrast, effortlessly drawing visitors' eyes to the signage and emphasizing its importance within the park's landscape.

Adding a Touch of Magic

To infuse a touch of enchantment into the signage, I integrated foam sheets and LED lights into the back panel. This thoughtful addition ensured that the signages would shine brightly, day and night, captivating visitors and enhancing their park experience.

Creativity in Foliage Park

A Journey of Design and Skill Growth

As I bring this captivating project to a close, I reflect on the unique ideas and invaluable skills I have woven into the fabric of Foliage Park's signage system. Immersed in the park's vibrant tapestry, I unleashed my creative spirit, intertwining functionality, and visual allure to craft a truly remarkable experience.

From conceptualizing signages to infusing them with leaf-inspired arrow designs, I nurtured a vision that breathes life into the park's essence. The bilingual logo, with its harmonious blend of fonts and cultural nuances, added a touch of authenticity and inclusivity.

Throughout this enthralling journey, I honed my skills in typography, color selection, and layout design, weaving threads of precision and aesthetic appeal. Exploring materials, I discovered innovative ways to bring durability and elegance into perfect harmony.

This project has been a transformative tapestry of personal growth, empowering me as a designer and igniting my passion for exploration and creative problem-solving. Foliage Park stands as a testament to my unique ideas and the skills I have woven into its design, showcasing the tapestry of innovation that defines my journey as a designer.
